Taking acne medication at night?

Question by Pianojockey: Taking acne medication at night?
Something about using acne medication at night doesn’t seem to make sense to me, if you were to put acne medication at night, wouldn’t the medication just get rubbed off once you go to bed by the pillow? Doesn’t it make more sense to take it in the morning, where you give it the whole day to work, but if you take say, an hour before gong to bed, you are only giving the medication one hour out of the day to work, before it’s rubbed off onto the pillow! Could someone explain how applying acne medication at night works please? thanks!

the medication will sink into the skin after you put it on and during the night it will work and do its thing until the morning and then your face will be cleared up for the rest of the day

Most topical ance medications cause severe irratation and sunlight makes it much, much worse. That may be why yours was perscribed to be applied in the evening. You should let it soak into your pores a little before just laying down.

I use the Acne.org Regimen twice daily. In the morning and evening. It’s awesome!
