started the compulsions in the first place !! :(

quell the fears of story audiences about multitudes of different themes and
things from war, to dragons, to murderous droves of marauders, and so
forth. Therapy is by and large a charlatan profession because it is
motivated by love of MONEY and not PATIENT’S PROGRESS. You are betting off
getting a boyfriend or girlfriend without issues who is interested in
helping you build a better life and mind than having someone listening to
you ramble while lying on a coach and sparsely responding back.

In a book called taming your gremlin, it shows some of these things. It
shows that everyone has a gremlin and it tries to help you. It can spiral
out of control sometimes and make you think and do crazy things. For
example, if someone needs to walk up and down a flight of stairs 20 times
to ensure safety about something totally unrelated, the gremlin is trying
to help, but instead its hurting you. It’s making you winded every time you
walk up and down the stairs, and it’s making your legs hurt.

I think a lot of different therapies could help people with extremely
obsessive thinking patterns. But, just do not listen to a shrink and take
medication. It will just diminish your thinking capacity and take away
energy you could be using to solve your problem. And your problems are
related to the root causes of your thinking patterns. It actually is not as
simple as figuring out the original causes. But, is where you should start
    off. Figure

What you say could be true, however I believe for obsessive thinking which
I have, story telling could help, because it makes my brain listen to
something and focus on it instead of the wispers in my mind, although they
are still somewhat hidden, i don’t feel threatened emotionally by them, i
hope to completelly get rid of them, and would welcome anymore suggestions
u might have for self therapy thank u

That’s when you need to catch what that gremlin is doing and put it in it’s
place by saying no this is hurting, and we need to find a diferent way to
help. When it gets out fo control you need to try to tame it. I think it
also says getting rid of it makes it go insane and working on taming it
instead of getting rid of it. Keep in mind the goal is not to rid it
compleatly but to tame it into making it helpful. Hopefully this helped,
but try new things to see what works and dont hide it

I think I have OCD. Whenever people touch banisters, my stuff, or anything,
i have a mini freak out in my head. When I’m in public I have no problems
because I am already over stimulated with everything going on. When I’m at
home I’m practically a mess. I know I have sensory integration (my senses
are naturally stronger so when people touch me I have to itch it off). I
also have experience a horrific event and it has been in effect a few
months after the event 2 years ago. Is it OCD?

Its strange how psychologists take so many very, very soft approaches to
“healing” and “curing” someone of their ailments all of which use
multi-year multi-decade long approaches. I call bullshit on these
techniques. The techniques are not even that clever on any level.
Storytelling? They want to propose storytelling as innovative and before
now unused in this manner? What about all the thousands of years of
storytelling amongst humans that was specifically used to calm, entertain,
    and

<< With me, depression and OCD come hand in hand, probably the depression first, then OCD as a coping mechanism. But that's just me. Maybe you've no reason to worry about those things. Anyway, good luck to you. If things get bad, talk to someone and perhaps go see a doctor - they can help. Later.
