Question by Kk.: Which painkiller would be more effective?
Should I take the one with codeine, paracetamol and caffeine or one with just codeine and paracetamol?
Thanks in advance.

If you have a headache, the painkiller with caffeine would be better. Headaches are often caused by a dilation of blood vessels in and around the brain, and caffeine has the ability to constrict blood vessels.

If you have pain other than a headache, the caffeine won’t do much, except perhaps keep you awake and make you jittery.

It really depends upon what pain you have which you didn’t mention. As most pains are caused by tight or pinched muscles some are never affected much by pain killers. For those releasing the muscles causing the pain would be the most effective and longer lasting. But that goes for any of the pains caused by muscles.
