For me, (and Fredreric Fekkai) olive oil works just fine. Not food grade?
Whoops, and I have been eating it on my salads, too! From his book, “A Year
    of Style”:
“….try an application of olive oil to revive hair damaged by sun and
surf. Apply [I just massage in with fingers ]on dry hair. Wear it all day
under a scarf or hat. As everyone in Provence will tell you, olive oil is
the miracle beauty product for both hair and skin.”
Not got all day? A faster method, ramps up this treatment; wrap ‘oiled’
head, turban style in a ( wet but wrung out) hot towel, and cover with a
shower cap, while watching a DVD ,meditating, etc. then shampoo (two or
three soapings) out. The result is smooth, silky, and full of volume.

How should I apply it to my hair since I have really coarse curly hair and
cannot brush or comb it dry?

Hi my name is Lillijana and I have a condition called Hashimotos. It is a
condition where my hair falls out and can get overweight but it has more to
do with the thyroid. The problem is I have a sensitive scalp and I tend to
itch my hair a lot. I was wondering if there is anything I could do about
this could you make a video about this please. Thank you. !

Great tips! Argan oil is amazing for my hair, though I use coconut oil and
almond oil as well. I’m trying to grow my hair out so I massage it with pro
naturals moroccan argan oil often, it really helps.
